In-home tech help when someone needs to be in the room.

Geek & Done is remote-first when appropriate, but some problems are easier to solve with the equipment right in front of us. Weekday in-home appointments are available throughout the San Diego service area.

When a visit is worth it

The point is not simply that I can come to your home. It is that being there should make the appointment more useful.

TVs and streaming

Inputs, apps, remotes, streaming devices and equipment that needs to work together in the room.

Speakers and sound

Soundbars, stereo equipment, Bluetooth speakers and Sonos setup or troubleshooting.

Printers and scanners

Hands-on setup, connection checks, scanner configuration and home-office troubleshooting.

Smart-home devices

Existing Ring, thermostat, smart-speaker, plug, light and similar device setup or configuration.

Existing Wi-Fi equipment

Connecting devices to your current Wi-Fi or mesh system when seeing the physical setup helps.

In-person lessons

Private technology instruction when sharing the same screen and workspace makes learning easier.

What happens after the visit

You receive a clear recap of what we changed, what still needs attention and any next steps worth remembering.

One brief seven-day follow-up

If a small question comes up after the appointment, there is a short follow-up window so you are not left wondering whether something was missed.

Service boundaries

In-home service covers setup, configuration and troubleshooting. Geek & Done does not provide electrical work, wiring, mounting, internal hardware repair or other work that requires a licensed installer or repair specialist.

Not sure if someone needs to come over?

Start with the request form. I’ll recommend remote help first when it is likely to work, and an in-home visit when hands-on help is the better fit.
